Test Reported speech
Questions;In order to convert a statement into a question ,you need to put the verb at the beginning of a sentence and add a question mark at the end. Sometimes the verb may have to be changed and additional word added.
A sentence that tell us something is a statement .One way it can be changed into question is to use do, does
,did in the beginning. example You go to market.
Do you go to market?Give Test
Changing the command into requestChange command into request (Test 2) REPORTED SPEECH:

(1)Rama Said,"Harry is an idle boy."
(2)Rama Said that Harry was An ideal boy.
In the first sentence, we give the exact words Used by the speaker.This is called Direct speech Or narration.
In the first sentence ,"Said" is called the Reporting Verb ,And the sentence in inverted comma is called the Reported speech.
From sentence One we also learn that in Direct Speech
(1)The exact words of the speaker are put within inverted commas.
(2) The first word of the Reported Speech begins with capital letter.
(3)A comma is placed yesterday after the Reporting verb to separate it from second part of the sentence
From sentence (2) ,we learn that in Indirect speech
(a)The reported words are not placed within inverted comma.
(b)No comma is placed after said.
(c)The Reported Speech is introduced by the conjunction that.
(d)The verb "is" is changed into was.
